The HOMESTEAD Nutrition Project has 29 meal sites located in northwest Kansas and delivers meals to an additional 10 towns. The HOMESTEAD Nutrition Project is funded through participant contributions, federal, state, and county funds. The meals served meet USDA guidelines and provide a minimum of 1/3 of the recommended daily Vitamin C and Vitamin A intake.
Our goal is to enable seniors to remain in their homes and improve their health through proper diet and good nutrition information. A participant must be age 60 or over or an eligible participant and unable to attend a meal site.
For information on eligibility or how to receive a home-delivered meal, please call 1-800-432-7422. To make a reservation, please call your local meal site by noon the day before. The requested contribution for those over 60 is $3.75. Those under 60 may also purchase a meal but must pay the full meal cost of $6.75.
The Home Delivered Meals program is designed to provide meals to those who are unable to shop or prepare meals for themselves. The meals are delivered by volunteers. Our goal is to enable seniors to remain in their homes and improve their health through proper diet and good nutrition information. The Congregate Meals program is designed to bring people age 60 and over together to share a hot, nutritious meal, fun, and friendship. Our purpose is to enrich the lives of seniors by providing nutrition education, promoting better health through a daily well-balanced meal, and better mental health by providing a place for fellowship with other senior citizens.

Our drivers are committed providing to prompt, reliable service. Trained by Kansas Department of Transportation, Kem and Bill will safely deliver you to your destination.

Yes, there is a rental fee for the area, but it is affordable and helps support our operations to serve the Norton community.
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food for events to complement our services and enhance your experience with us.
Absolutely, our community room provides free Wi-Fi so you can stay connected during your visit.
Yes!! Our service can get you there! For appointments out of town, or outside of our service hours, we work closely with an amazing local non profit organization, Norton Cares that will make every effort to ensure your out of town medical appointments are not missed!!
